This course will enable the students to
1. Gain a control of representational drawing skills, and to understand and manipulate the proportional relationships from actual objects.
2. Manipulating the formal elements and principles to achieve better design solutions,importance and control of good craftsmanship and presentation skills.

Basic Elements and Principles in Picture Composition: Line, Color, Value, Shape, Form, Space, Texture, Balance, Emphasis, Contrast, Rhythm and Movement, Pattern And Repetition, Unity, Variety, Proportion Positive And Negative Spaces - Basic Geometric Shapes and Forms - Compositional Techniques - Rule Of Thirds - Rule Of Odds - Rule Of Space – Simplification.
Exercise: 2D Basic Design Composition – Min 2
Perspective Drawing – Vanishing Points –Horizon –Eye Level – One Point Perspective – Two Point Perspective - Three Point Perspective – Multi- Point Perspective -Overlapping and Intersection of Shapes in One Point, Two Point And Three Point Perspective Views - Objects and Shapes in Perspective with Light And Shade.
Exercise: Building Drawings (Interior and Exterior) – Min 2
Object study – measurement for drawing – still life drawing techniques – creative object compositions – isometric and orthographic projections.
Exercise: Still Life Drawing and projections practice – Min 5
Basic 3-Dimensional Light Set Up – Several Types Of Shadows – Cast Shadow – Contact Shadow – Contour Shadow – Reflected Light – Overhang Shadow – Highlight – Core Shadow.
Exercise: Pencil Shading – Min 2
Basic male and female body structure - Stick Figures - Sketching Poses -Rapid Sketching from Live Models - Attitude - Gestures drawings- Line Drawing - Quick Sketches - Line of Action. Life Drawing
